Rev Jonah Masaka
We have been supporting the ministry of Jonah for around 30 years, since he came to Guildford as a student. He lives in Zimbabwe and pastors a church that is serving the local community and beyond.
Kuwadzana Christian Training School
We have recently helped to build a dormitory for the training school. This will allow pastors to come from a wide area and stay whilst they are doing courses. They then return to their local area where the church is very much the focus of aid. Distribution of food and other essentials takes place through the local churches.
Almost every week we hear stories about Zimbabwe on the news but it's often difficult to know how we can make any difference to the lives of people living so far away. Using a variety of initiatives and events we have raised a significant amount of money and the building is now finished. Three people from Westborough travelled to Zimbabwe for the opening on May 31st. For more about their trip click on the Zimbabwe Visit button.
Our latest fundraising helped Jonah to purchase a new vehicle when his was written off in an accident. The new van is useful for travelling to South Africa to stock up on food for the congregation. We also raised funds for a new water tank so that they can store water from their borehole.
